Just arrived in Nha Trang...

Hi all,
Not too much to report today really.
Yesterday we had our first dose of Bali Belly... Not exactly sure what it was from as we hadn't eaten anything suspicious, but in Vietnam, who knows! So we tried to have a quiet day. Rented bicycles from the hotel again, such a great way to get around. Bought some beautiful Chinese Lanterns like the ones that are hanging all through Hoi An... only $2 each!
Also picked up all of our tailor made clothes and shoes... very impressive. Craig's suit in particular looks fabulous. My leather boots are very nice! It cost us a fortune to send everything back though- $80 for 8kgs on airmail, but it would have been very difficult to carry it all around with us the entire trip.
Had lunch at Morning Glory restaurant, our fave in Hoi An. As our tummies weren't feeling the greatest we had french style baguettes with beef, they were beautiful. Kind of like gourmet subway with an Asian spin! We then took our bikes and attempted to ride the 8kms or so to the nearest beach but after about 5kms the sky turned a little black and it started to rain so we gave up and turned back. Had a quiet night in the hotel as we had yet another 4am start this morning. Instead of making the trek into town for dinner we just had pizza delivered to our room. For Vietnam, it was pretty bloody good! The base was nice and crispy and the toppings fresh... We discovered that our television had an American movie channel and watched a movie and went to sleep about 8pm! The phone rang at 9.30pm and scared us silly, we thought perhaps it was 4am and our transfer was here and we hadn't got up in time! But it was Mum, she had finally figured out the phone card and it was so good to be able talk to her without thinking about the huge amount I was spending with International Roaming!
Got up bright and early for our pick up to the airport, and arrived here in Nha Trang at about 8am. Check-out here isn't till 12 so we are still waiting for our room to be prepared. The beach here looks beautiful but unfortunately the weather is pretty ordinary and windy. We had a laugh at 'Vinpearl Island' the theme park on one of the islands here- the sign is HUGE like Hollywood, and there is a huge cable car going across the water to the island. We are trying to decide between going there tomorrow or taking a boat ride to Monkey Island. I am thinking the Monkey Island is the best option!
Anyway, hope all is well in Melbourne and will write again when I have some more exciting news! xx
